Light painting, also known as light drawing or light graffiti is a photographic technique in which exposures are made usually at night or in a darkened room by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera. In many cases the light source itself does not have to appear in the image. The term light painting also encompasses images lit from outside the frame with hand-held light sources. The first known photographer to use this technique was Man Ray in his series “Space Writing” created in 1935. Photographer, Ellen Carey, discovered Man Ray’s signature signed by penlight nearly 74 years after the pictures had been taken.

@wikipedia

I received today my Green Flash Wand/stick.

I bought it from Focal price (link to item) for $1.69. Cheap : )

I took some pictures at my bedroom.
The first one, (top of article), I raised a lot the brightness to let you see some background.
The next photo, was taken at bulb mode, ISO 100, f/2.8:

I will definitely get more LEDs/lasers/sticks to play a little more with this.

Question for you:
If you already tried this, what were you light sources?

I just love that (normal) bokeh.
Today, I saw at Newslaunches, this article about some bokeh filter. I never had saw that before! There where filters in shape of star, hearts and spirals (see pics above).

I started thinking and I decided imediatly to make my own bokeh filter!

I just draw a circle using the lens cap in an old Repsol card : )

With help of an 1€ coin I draw a circle, made an star, e cut it!
I placed my home made filter in front of the lens (like a regular filter).

I didn’t have the opportunity to test it more. I just went to my street and took a photo (a live in a small village, so don’t expect that many lights!!)

I didn’t used any tripod, so the image is a little blurred!

Tip: This was my first attempt to make a filter. I’m guessing that higher the distance between the filter and glass more accurate will be lights (at photo) to the shape of the filter.

I’m not talking about an celestial body, but else a feed agregator.

The bigger planet and probably the one i often visit is planetgeek.org. I like this community, but i’m not interessed in all blogs syndicated at this particular planet.

Q: Why not make one planet, with the blogs I care the most?
A: The solution is planetaki!

A planet is a place where you can read all the websites you like in a single page. You decide whether your planet is public or private.
Using Planetaki is easy, here is an example of what one looks like. Any doubts? Check out the frequent questions.

I already made my own planet! A simple way to read the blogs which i follow/like the most.

Some weeks ago some of the guys at Twitter were constantly bliping songs. And I thought to myself, WTF is this? Hell Spammers! Hrrr!

I discovered Blip.fm! And I spammed(*1) too \m/

After a few minutes I learned that Blip.fm was extremly cool!
It has a huge song playlist where you can find nearly everything (this nearly makes me mad sometimes) – that is fantastic for a person who loves music, like me!

And it has a public timeline where you can discover new sounds that other people are bliping. Nice.

I can spend hours there…

If you wish so, you can follow me at http://blip.fm/uterrorista. Some are great songs, some don’t. Just say that I can hear all kinda music.

(1*) Blip.fm has Twitter integration that enables to twitt all your blips automatly.
